AIPAC Stirs
What Obama faces in the Middle East, if he is to move the peace process forward, is a very powerful force against him. It's called AIPAC:

“I don’t think anybody wants to dictate to an ally what they have to do in their own national security interests,” said Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.), who said he thinks there’s “room for compromise.”

“I have to hear specifically from the administration exactly how they define their terms and is there room for defining the terms,” he said, referring to the terms “settlement” and “natural growth.” ...

The pro-Israel lobby AIPAC last week got the signatures of 329 members of Congress, including key figures in both parties, on a letter calling on the administration to work “closely and privately” with Israel — in contrast to the current public pressure.

3. I think this is the type of thing DC was worried about Obama being "radical" about
and it looks like he is being radical on this

Israel had a complete free ride (destructive to them) during the Bush/Cheney years and now any restraint is too much for them

When AIPAC speaks DC listens. This should be interesting. Obama is doing the right thing so far.

4. Where is the list of signatures?
If my representative is a signatory, I would like to have some words with him.

5. Privately. Heck NO NO NO! The world needs to put their foot down.
Israel no longer deserves the blank check to inhumanity.

How many decades do they want to get away with murder, destruction, intimidation, theft.

Their agenda is not pure.

6. Just Like BiBi
They are stunned to find out that Obama means what he says regarding settlements. They're still looking for the wink wink nod nod. When BiBi came to DC he told people Obama would be a pushover. Wonder if he still thinks so?
