Tests Show Many Supplements Have Quality Problems.
One quarter of supplements tested by an independent company over the last decade have had some sort of problem. Some contained contaminants. Others had contents that did not match label claims. Some had ingredients that exceeded safe limits. Some contained real drugs masquerading as natural supplements.

Said it had something like 8mg, I kept coming up with 6 mg. It was driving me nuts!

Maybe this was the problem.

2. I worked for a large vitamin & supplement mfg., for 13 years, and
I can assure you there were NO contaminents in any of our products. We used pharmaceutical testing rules on everything, and all ingredients were tested when they arrived at our facility BEFORE they were released into inventory, and nothing was released as finished goods until it was tested & analized for purity & content in compliance with the label.

There are many small mfg. & many of these items now also are imported. My guess the contamination was found involved thosesources.

3. Your Company Must Not Have Been Buying From China, Then
Why anyone would buy anything from China escapes me. They adulterate at the slightest opportunity to cheat, and it ends up killing the end user.

4. No we weren't buying from China. We did buy a significant
amount of one particular ingredient from Japan, but EVERY SHIPMENT was thoroughlky tested before ever putting it to use or into inventory.

6. Would that ingredient have been Co-Q10 by any chance?

5. There was an article in SI about the industry a few weeks ago
It's basically unregulated. A recipe (;-)) for blatant fraud at the least, and disaster at the most.
