We are being played; let's make a resolution: IGNORE SARAH PALIN

False and misleading stories about Palin are now being planted deliberately, I am now certain. We are being played. Repubs want her to look persecuted by liberals because that appears to be her best course to national office. They at least want to keep her in the public spotlight.

This is happening too often, and too regularly, especially when it's some blogger in Alaska who claims "inside information" that starts one of these storms. This is being orchestrated.

I have an idea: let's retire Sarah Palin from the national politics. Stop paying attention to her, stop commenting on her, stop giving our prognostications that she is going down in scandal. She's the lamest politician, and somebody who we could definitely afford to ignore.

2. Here's the deal - Obama
Edited on Sun Aug-02-09 02:23 PM by truedelphi
Let it be known that Rahm would be his Chief of Staff. He promised the Big Interests that Geithner, Bernanke and Summers would allow the economy to be in the hands of the Big Interests.

In return, they have promsied that he gets to run against Sarah Palin. Therefore her name has to keep flapping in the breeze, lest we forget that she is out there, already packing her bags for her January 2013 move in to 1600 Pennsylvannia.

This set up keeps Obama motivated to keep handing things over to the TPTB. And us motivated to support Obama.

6. "Victiming" you way to the White House isn't a plausible path to election.
Despite the stupidity and gullibility of so many Americans, victimhood just doesn't strike the right notes to get enough votes for national office.

8. Baloney -- Stalin, Hitler, and hundreds "victimed" their way into power
Stalin, Hitler & Mussolini were figures of ridicule.

Each sparked a minority mob's passions.

All were failed artists (Stalin: failed poet, Hitler: failed painter, Mussolini: failed journalist, Palin: failed sportscaster).

All single-mindedly obsessed with power at any cost.

All SHOCKED the majority who had written them off with ridicule.

Stalin was from Georgia, a Russian backwater analogous to Alaska -- a region ridiculed as hillbilly, and a region that has political movements for independence.

Stalin, Hitler, Franco, Suharto, Salazar, Duvalier, Trujillo, Mugabe, Kim Jong Il, Milosevic, Marcos, Charles Taylor and ANY other dictator you can name ALL "VICTIMED" their way to seize power.

Palin will start a Third Party called either "Maverick Party" or "National Unity Party".

All that's needed is an "Al Qaeda USAF infiltrator sympathizer" to crash a disgruntled Lone Gunman F-16 into the Capitol Dome, and I guarantee you John Roberts will swear-in an "emergency President" Palin because all the Democrats under the Capitol Dome are dead.

She could get elected President. You heard it here. :evilfrown:

ETA: I agree with the OP. She should be ignored, to the extent possible.

I have a hunch, and that's all it is, that if anyone took a good look at her family of origin they might find some alarming stuff.

Palin isn't very intelligent, but she's extremely cunning and manipulative.

25. Oh, I don't know. If you're constantly being "attacked" (not victimized) by liberals.

That's a good strategy for conservatives. I used the wrong word. Victimized is the not the meme: attacked and smeared-- for her beliefs, for who she is. Especially if they could attach enough absurdities to it, and these have long become absurd.

7. Good idea -
she's only as meaningful as the people who pay attention to her.

From now on, the Palin threads go "Hidden."

Thanks for the idea...................

13. Ignore Palin? That's Hard to Do !
Have you ever been in a situation where some guy is funny as hell and cracking jokes. Try though you may, you can't ignore him cause he's genuinely funny. After a while you can't help but have a laugh like everybody else.

Ignoring Palin is just like that -- she's the most laughable character I've ever seen in public life. Try though you may, you just can't stop laughing at her buffoonery.

Every single time that she opens her mouth, she gives you something you can laugh at. Sorry, folks, can't help myself!

26. It has been a long time since it has been that interesting.

The last truly laughable thing she did, as far as I am concerned, was hold that interview with the turkeys being slaughtered in the background. That might have been the funniest thing a politician has done outside of a Monty Python sketch.

For having something to laugh at every time she opens her mouth, you've got to be kidding. After Dubya, she's boring-- third-rate.

17. I Totally Agree With You
It's like she's becoming a martyr for the far right. The more the progressives laugh and make fun of her, the more in their/her sick world she becomes elevated. Furthermore, this is one big DISTRACTION. We have soldiers dieing in Iraq and Afghanistan, an economy in crisis, global warming and no health care.

She has been and always will be a two bit politician - her record speaks for itself. :kick:

24. Palin is a wedge....
... a distraction, nothing more.

Which is why the corporate media keep putting her center-stage, to obscure the real issues: healthcare, economic recovery, environment, etc.
