This is what the CBO number of $1.3 trillion for Reform should be compared to.

THis includes the growth of the number of uninsured and inflation of the costs (63% of uncompensated care is provided by hospitals -- with reform this proportion would of course be changed ...thus saving beaucoup $$s.)

1. The death panels can reduce these figures...
We can base them on the Bush Texas model.

3. people need to see what the cost of doing nothing would be vs the cost of trying to fix this.
but you won't hear that on the MSM... We spend how much in two wars every month!!! yet we can't swing the money to save ourselves in the long run??? what is wrong with this country.

4. the reason it costs so much is because of subsidies to profit making insurance companies
who created the uninsured pool by not insuring people they couldn't make enough profit on.

NOw, the Republicans want us to pay the insurance companies to take on people they dumped so they can insure these people AND MAKE A GOOD PROFIT TOO - WITH PUBLIC MONEY.

I suggest everybody email/call their congressmen and ask "Why are we subsidizing insurance companies when it would be cheaper to insure these people ourselves???????"
$1.2 trillion in insurance company subsidies includes about $170 billion in Admnistrative charges and profits in excess of the 3% administartive chages that Medicare incurs.

$170 billion extra expense.

Get this, the Republicans are screaming at Obama for proposing a plan that's too expensive and it's expensive because of the subsidies for private insurers that the Republicans (being lobbyists for corporations) demand!

We just bailed out Wall Street banks. How did THAT go? (how many mortgages are being renegotiated?? HOw are the banks doing re profits? NOt bad?) Now, the Corporate Lobbyist Party wants a perpetual bailout of the health insurance industry! I think John Boehner and the Party of NO, can shove the Health Insurance industry. (look at it this way it's better than the whole country taking it in the ass, AGAIN!
