The Conservatives consummate lack of any redeeming human values, have to cast the Nation's mourning of Ted Kennedy's passing in a political perspective. Jeez, people can't engage in respectful observances of a great man's passing without conservative zombies harrassing us humans. One of the centuries greatest public servants really deserves a little more respect than that. But, it's really futile to expect any sense of respect for the man or our feelings, from the Conservatives, devoid of human sensitivity as they are (although they go to great thespian efforts to simulate the same). They are emotional vampires. Golems, devoid of souls they are animated and sustained by the life they draw from the living beings around them. They have no sensibilities as to what is contemptible, low, loathsome, shockingly disgusting, disrespectful behavior. They will never understand the living.

Of course you're right that conservatives are loathsome, but we have free speech, and can say what we want. What Democrats and liberals say, or don't, say--we own. And any Democrats or liberals who go wobbly in the face of this pre-emptive conservative attack, and fail to honor Ted Kennedy for what he was--a liberal--own their wimpishness.

They must however, accept, as must you, that they cannot expect to engage in such repulsive behavior and be free of criticism or contempt for setting the standared for disgusting, repulsive conduct.

It's clear enough that conservatives have two narratives about liberals, which work together: (1) liberals are so mean and partisan, (2) liberals are wimps. Conservatives also like to work liberals with (1) so that they (liberals) back down and appear as (2). As it happens, I was pleased with Biden's and Dodd's partisan--in a classy way--tributes to Kennedy.

right wing paranoics as disgusting. I really can't blame someone for feeling that way. But, for those who aren't sickened by it, I think a little setting the record strait is okay.

It's impossible for anybody to talk about Kennedy's legacy without praising his legislative efforts to achieve a more socially just and fair society. The Conservative golems wanted to define this as engaging in partisan politics. I guess to them it IS partisan since they are admitting to being diametrically opposed to social justice and fairness. They want to redefine what is universally recognized as worthy humanitarian goals as taking a partisan political position. Okay then. They admit it. The Democrats stand for what right and good. The conservatives stand against all of that. I take them at their word (though their actions have already made their perverse mentality and politics abundantly clear).
