Should Women Back Palin in 2012? - by Amy Siskind
I guess she never heard Palin's brilliant reponses when asked simple questions.

-snip

Indeed, since the glorious day on which President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act back in January (which was ushered through the Senate and House by women before it reached his desk), I'm hard-pressed to come up with much other action he’s undertaken to benefit women. Other than hosting the NCAA Champion U-Conn. women's basketball team at the White House.

Here's the difference: Sarah Palin played women's basketball. That's how she got the nickname "Sarah Barracuda." And she’s had to maintain that same toughness and sensibility as she entered the world of politics—which is, after all, no less a contact sport.

5. This is a joke, right?
My mother is a screaming feminist, as are most of her friends--and none of them can stand Sarah Palin. They think she's a giant moron and an insult to women everywhere.

10. Her teammates gave her the nick
because she was as mean to them as she was her opponents.

With women like that on our team we don't need outside oppessors.

11. This is one of the most logically flawed articles I've seen in a long, long
time. First she says Obama has done virtually nothing for women, except the Ledbetter Act. Then she goes on and gives Palin credit for an appointment of a female judge, while ignoring Obama's appointment of Sotomayor. She gives kudos to Sotomayor and Hillary Clinton, without ever giving Obama credit for the positions both of these women hold.

Put Palin out there in 2012. Try to get women to vote for her, just because she's a woman. If the best argument she has for voting for Palin is that she played women's basketball, then I'm more qualified than Palin, because I played basketball, softball and have a black belt in martial arts.

15. I don't understand "feminists" who think
feminism means voting for any person with a vagina who runs for public office.

Where she sees spunk, I see scatterbrained. Where she sees a tough champion, I see a Phyllis Schlafly clone who is perfectly happy to use the benefits we fought for herself but wants to deny them to the rest of us.

Amy, honey, you need a reality check here. You're promoting an addlepated lady against women who would set us back to the 1850s if she ever got the chance. You're pushing an abject failure at nearly everything she's tried, a woman so dense she couldn't name a newspaper in Alaska whether or not she was lying about actually reading it.

I will be delighted when Palin's 15 minutes are up. Unfortunately, the Amy Siskinds of this world seem determined to keep that dummy front and center, trying to convince the rest of us to vote against everything we stand for just because Palin has a vagina.

Sorry, Amy, that's just not going to work for most of us.

16. Since my state has open primaries,
I'll probably vote for her in the 2012 Republican primary. I'd love to see her fall flat in a run against Obama.

19. Any woman that votes this idiot into office is a traitor to her sex
I want a woman for president. I do NOT want this idiot in a dress to be president..it would be a disaster and especially for women. She would set us back a hundred years at the very least.
This is a woman that refused to allow poor women to have a rape kit unless they paid a small fortune for it...\
Think about that my sisters.

22. Why as a woman support a loser that quits her job when she uses it
as a stepping stone to more money and she didn't care about the people of AK. I might support her as a maid. That is all she is good for. Hell she can't even write her own book byself. She can't manage her family. She managed to create hell on the campaign trail by inciting hate. Thanks but no thanks.

24. What, suddenly nothing applies to us?
Geez, I missed the memo that said we were left out of the health care bill, that there are no women soldiers left in Iraq and Afghanistan, that no women hold mortgages, run small businesses, and that Sonia Sotomayor was secretly a guy!

Mother of God...a woman, I might add.
