Hardly a man living is siting on the fence they are screaming and shouting and make no sense.

American tea bagger stupidity is being loosed upon an unsuspecting world.

The noted and award winning British Journalist Robert Fisk in his weekly column wrote about the demise of the US dollar. He didn’t write about it maliciously or to imply that we as Americans had it coming. Fisk has lived in Beirut for several decades and usually writes about Middle Eastern Affairs. As western journalists go he is considered among the best because he tries to stay impartial, which living in Beirut is not all ways easy.

The thrust of the Fisk article was as follows, “In the most profound financial change in recent Middle East history, Gulf Arabs are planning – along with China, Russia, Japan and France – to end dollar dealings for oil, moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.

Secret meetings have already been held by finance ministers and central bank governors in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on the scheme, which will mean that oil will no longer be priced in dollars.

The plans, confirmed to The Independent by both Gulf Arab and Chinese banking sources in Hong Kong, may help to explain the sudden rise in gold prices, but it also augurs an extraordinary transition from dollar markets within nine years.”

Ready to get your pitchforks and torches and storm the castle? Matt Drudge linked the article to his site and the mobs began to form.

But Fisk who living in the Middle East has dealt with terrorist bombs, shock and awe and Israeli air strikes now finds himself vilified for daring to report on factual events which can demonstrably be proven as true. Events which auger bad things for America if the American dollar is no longer the reserve currency for the world. The central issue is how will the world pay for its oil?

The dollar’s value decline and it’s continued eroding value make things difficult for other countries that must pay for their purchases in real currency and not in Uncle Sam’s script. It’s not what Fisk said nor the way he said it, it is that he said it at all and that the American Taliban heard about it. The following comments are from Americans published in the UK Independent.

The Independent is a virtual cheerleader for doomspeaking on America, jostling with The Guardian and actually beating it in terms of the degree to which it permits its writers to veer off into fiction. I left out the comments about just wait until the next time England and Europe need the US to save their butts from Hitler but it is obvious that it was Internet day at Camp Stupid. What these people are railing about is news, news that they don’t like. The news that was written in a foreign newspaper and is primarily for an overseas audience.

Their comments are not just off the mark they are in many cases delusional, Stalin? Acorn? Diversity? They are like Mao’s Red Guards shouting down all dissenters with sayings from the Little Fox Book. Truth is a funny thing you can’t hide from it. But the greatest fear is the exportation of this stupidity that foreign leaders and demagogues will see how successful that it has been in the US and try to dumb down their own populations. Of course closed societies have operated with such propaganda for generations. But I fear that Orwell had it all wrong Big Brother is not watching us we are watching him!
