Army Times: Editorial: A failure of leadership at the highest levels
The dishonor, the shame - The honor of the US has been dragged, nay, tramppled in the mud and gore of Abu Ghraib. Every American should hang their heads in shame. When Baghdad was secured we had a great oportunity for a public relations sturt. Intead of toppling Saddam statues we should've brought in an experience building demolition company and in full view of the Iraqi people and the world, imploded Abu Ghraib prison. Now perhaps we should let it stand and be used to house the perpetrators of this horid abuse, from top to bottom. Let it be a home for Rummy, Myers, Wolfie, down to Pvt. England.

Snip:
Indeed, the damage done to the U.S. military and the nation as a whole by the horrifying photographs of U.S. soldiers abusing Iraqi detainees at the notorious prison is incalculable.

But the folks in the Pentagon are talking about the wrong morons.

There is no excuse for the behavior displayed by soldiers in the now-infamous pictures and an even more damning report by Army Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba. Every soldier involved should be ashamed.

2. I guess it ran in Navy times also.
And if they put out Air force also. Good. It is a shame for people who make the service their lives work. It seems Gen Shinseki, with all his education, knew what he was talking about. These guys worried about what to do with flower gifts do not seem to have it.
