Yepsen: Fire Rumsfeld? No, tear down the prison
http://dmregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20040511/OPINION01/405110306/1035

This first paragraph really sets the tone on this one.. I've noticed too that rightie now is calling this politicaly motivated.. Gee have they forgotten the Clinton era so soon??

The Bush-haters and the anti-Bush media are having a field day with the Iraqi prisoner-abuse scandal. Some are calling for Donald Rumsfeld to resign or be fired.

That makes no sense. It accomplishes little of political or military value. Unless someone finds the defense secretary guilty of personal wrongdoing in this matter, Rumsfeld should stay.

Politically, this episode is a huge problem for Bush.
