Sending out an SOS for Columbus Ohio! I really need some help!

Long story short - I just found out that a friend of mine is now living in an Homeless Shelter somewhere there in Columbus. I've tried doing a search of Homeless Shelters but nothing really comes up. Can someone help get some phone numbers or something?

Ask for the person in charge. You've gotten lots of good information about places to call. Just start calling and get someone who works there to talk to you, not one of the residents.

It's not easy to find someone in a homeless shelter. Some people use false names. Staff is really busy at times. This will take lots of patience and time. There's no way to rush it.

Homeless shelters tend to be run a bit haphazardly with regard to record-keeping.

You have all the resources you need, right here in the thread. Just be patient, ask for a person who's in charge at the shelters, and be prepared with a good description of the person. Not everyone who stays in a homeless shelter gives their real name.

If you have a photo, you may be asked to fax it to some of the shelters.
