Republicans 'reluctant' to attend HC summit. Clearly, the GOP is in govmnt only to undermine any &
all efforts by Dems to address problems facing the nation. Is there nothing that can be done for these domestic terrorists?

The Corporate Lobbyist Party complained Obama didn't televise the Health Care War, last year with the Corporate Lobbyist Party. They complained he didn't listen to their ideas (what was the Senate bill all about accept giving in to their 'No-Public Option' demand?). Now, when Obama says "Okay, let's have a meeting so you can present your ideas, and it will be televised." (President is going a long way out on a limb here hoping they will have anything new besides "Single Payer NOT on table.", and "NO PUBLIC OPTION".) NOW the creeps from K street are getting scared. Obama has called their bluff. HE isn't agreeing to be hog-tied by their pre-conditions for a meeting.

If the Corporate Lobbyists Party doesn't want to participate in Governing the country but just want to sabotage any efforts to govern perhaps they should be removed from office, as in run out of town on a rail (an old American tradition for confidence men and cheats).

1. If they don't show, it will be publicized by some of the media
The headlines will read, GOP Refuses to Participate in the Governing Process.

If they don't show, the American people should wake up to their bullshit and call them on it.

3. Unfortunately, more like " Democrat partisanship blocks Republican participation"
is how our wonderful M$M will spin it.

4. THe Corp Lobbyist Partiers said they haven't had their "ideas" heard, and that he didn't televise
Edited on Mon Feb-15-10 04:21 PM by JohnWxy
Last years committee to committee health care wars. He is responding to their complaints.

personally, I think it is good to televise the meeting the Republicans asked for.

OF course, Corporate M$M in trying to give their Corporate Lobbyist party leaders a way out are trying to characterize the meeting the Republicans said they wanted as you have. I don't think it will work, either in M$M or here. The Cproarts Lobbyists said they had ideas, said Obama hasn't listened. They criticized him for not televising the HCR wars. Now he's giving them a chance to communicate their ideas and with television cameras present ...only teh confidence men of the GOP would try to worm out of what they said they wanted by calling this a "publicity stunt". It's a chance for them to show they are willing to contribute to addressing problems of the nation. Let's see if they can deliver.

But you are correct in that the Corporate Lobbyist Party have, with the threat of filibuster, drastically slowed Democratic efforts to accompllish anything by forcing the Democrats to call for cloture votes on just about everything they are trying to do for the country. The Corporate Lobbyist Party, combined with Obama's naivete in believing they really want to work together (despite their declarations of being the Party of "NO", and that they will make HCR "Obama's Waterloo") have managed to delay HCR and any other legislation they are opposed to.

The Corporate Lobbyists are quite proud of their abiility to kill progress (palin: "How's that hopey, changey stuff working out?").

Yeah, they created the Deregulation Disaster, and then have been voting against every effort of the Democrats to heal and rebuild our economy from the REPUBLICAN DYSTOPIA we currently are in.

Given the amount of damage the Republicans have done to our country, Who needs Al Kaida when you've got the GOP?

P.S. are you asking for your own rail?
