Ollie North: Revisionist or Oblivious?
Revisionist or Oblivious?
By convicted felon Oliver North | February 18, 2010

Here in America's southwest desert, young Americans are training to fly Reapers, Predators and other Remotely Piloted Aircraft capable of attacking our enemies half a world away. Our Fox News "War Stories" team is here at Holloman Air Force Base documenting how these remarkable high-tech weapons are changing the face of battle in the long war against radical Islamists. One thing that hasn't changed is how incredibly wrong liberal Democrats are about this fight.

Since the attempted bombing of a U.S.-bound passenger flight on Christmas Day, the Obama administration has attempted to deflect criticism for its inept mishandling of counter-terrorism. Mr. Obama, the lead-off hitter, tried to convince us the Nigerian underpants bomber was an "isolated case," that closing Gitmo and sending Jihadists to Yemen is proper, and holding show-trials in Manhattan for the likes of 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is "the right thing to do."

White House "Terror Czar" John Brennan was up next. Mr. Brennan, apparently convinced that the best defense is a truly offensive offense, accused administration detractors of aiding and abetting the enemy: "Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda."

Now the O-Team has rolled out their ace rhetorical warrior -- their big-gun -- Vice President Joe Biden. The Veep has been making the rounds of the "talking head" TV shows -- and blasting away in every direction -- with considerably less accuracy than we have come to expect from a Hellfire missile launched from a Predator.

During a conversation on Meet the Press, Mr. Biden was asked about former Vice President Dick Cheney's critique of the Obama administration's handling of terrorism. The Veep blustered, "I don't know where Dick Cheney has been...What is he talking about?" He went on to accuse his predecessor of "rewrit(ing} history."

5. Absolutely, one of the worst things that ever happened was when...
all of the investigations into the many crimes that were called Iran-Contra were stopped. That allowed so many of those criminals to come back to government with a free hand to wreak more havoc on the Constitution and laws.

North was/is a criminal and why he is all over radio and tv I do not understand.

7. I was thinking the other day, someone posted a thread with the question of
Why Cheney was appearing on television frequently admitting to committing war crimes; that being torture and it was treated as the first time, this information came out?

I posted Cheney and his corporate media propaganda machine were trying to condition the American People by the continuous bringing of trash in to the nation's home as a means to desensitize them to the stench, and to create the new normal by lowering the American People's higher self image of them selves.

I didn't post it at the time, but I thought he was channeling North's strategy of proudly admitting to criminal behavior on an incessant basis. For those people that don't remember or are too young to know, North was in your face and the corporate media made him out to be a hero instead of a felon.

North was and is a disgrace and I believe chicken-hawk, torture loving Cheney is following his playbook.

13. He's been steadily rewriting history since his congressional appearance.
He lied his way through his Iran Contra testimony, and he's been lying ever since.

14. His commanding officer in Viet Nam said that he "was crazy as a bed bug"
My sister-in-law's dad was Oliver North's commanding officer in Viet Nam. When the Iran Contra affair became public, Col. Christensen said, "Oliver North is as crazy as a bed bug and I should have court marshaled the bastards when I had a chance."

Guess that says it all!
