One can (most CERTAINLY) argue whether the responses to being illegal in these other countries are over the top, however, the concern of Americans who believe in the constitution is whether legal citizens will have their rights violated. One should not use the argument that illegals get undeserved rights in order to profile people who look a certain way, but use this argument against the means of HOW illegals get these rights. We all admit that there is a problem, but this new law seems "to throw the baby (rights of citizenship) out with the bath water." And unless I am mistaken, I thought we ALL loved the "baby"!

If they are so much better than here.

That only children born here in US will get TANF (no longer called "welfare",to the happy chain mailer who seems to think his/herself so knowledgeable), food stamps and medicaid. Not the parents (however, emergency situations do exist).

Highly unlikely that they will get subsidized housing or free education, either (I'm assuming that chain mailer wants you to believe that college is free, and is not talking about K-12 public schools).

Oh, sure, they get jobs, alright.....who else in America would allow themselves to be exploited for the equivalent of ten bucks a day???

The Social Security cards they get are probably purchased at a flea market, and those using them probably live in fear every day that they will get caught using them; that kind of "underground living certainly isn't MY cup of tea.

And while there is always an exception to any case, those here illegally are not living the life of Goldman Sachs, who, IMO, have abused the taxpayers much more brutally than any illegal immigrant will able to in a thousand lifetimes.

And remind your happy chain mailer that someday his/her own ethnicity/traits will become "unacceptable" as well; that's what happens when we allow hate and intolerance to dictate our politics.

None of those horrible things happen when one enters Canada illegally.
