1. Three Cheers for Oliver Stone!

One of my favorite Stone films is "Comandante" -- "South of the Border" sounds like a poignant look at Latin America's move to the Left. Unfortunately, I don't live in a city where it's been released yet -- so I have to withhold judgment for a while.

As to the NYT -- it's amazing how reactionary a publication can be, even when the right-wing thinks of it as a step away from "Pravda."
