Off-beat behavior becoming the norm (Greeley CO Tribune)
Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Tribune Opinion

When we heard a couple of weeks ago that a man had been arrested in Pakistan for possessing weapons and apparently being on a personal quest to find Osama bin Laden, we weren't all that surprised to discover the man was from Greeley ...

Remember the balloon boy? Although his family was from Fort Collins, the balloon they launched came down in Weld County ...

Army Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, a Greeley native, gained national attention when he refused to be deployed to Afghanistan because he doesn't believe President Barack Obama has produced a birth certificate that proves without a doubt the commander-in-chief is a natural-born citizen ...

All this once again leaves us wondering: Is their some sort of bizarre force that causes Greeley to be a sort of vacuum that sucks in strange and disturbing behavior? ...

2. Not a vacuum, it's the wind.
Specifically, the breeze blowing over the feedlots. All the bullshit in the air is beginning to take a toll on the mental faculties.
