Bush's New Focus on Economy May Face Voter Skepticism (Update2)
President George W. Bush is taking credit for U.S. growth and job creation in new television ads and campaign speeches, a strategy that may backfire with voters skeptical about signs of economic recovery.
<snip>

Gallup's Newport said Bush's low approval ratings and opinions about his handling of the economy were caused in part by the insurgency in Iraq and prisoner abuse scandal as well as the 34 percent rise in gasoline prices.
<snip>

The key for Bush is to have low expectation for the economy and job growth, University of California's Jacobson said.

1. I take issue with
"The key for Bush is to have low expectation for the economy and job growth, University of California's Jacobson said."

I am tired of a low expectations pResident. I want to go back to the good ol' days when we had high expectations and expected our leaders to do what was in the best interest of our country collectively, not protecting a select few.

2. Bush is soooooo full of sh*t!!!!!!
...Anything that now comes out of that man's move should be viewed as total Bushit. He has promoted 40 months of welfare for the wealthy in this country and has provided political favors to the big business contributors to his campaign. Throw the crook out!

4. The problem is all those rosy numbers he's been spewing
for the past 2 years. You know the ones, the million or so wonderful new jobs that are somehow not showing up in your city or mine, the inflation that doesn't exist until we go try to buy grouceries or fill up our gas tanks, and the fact that the recession has been declared over the third week of every month since November, 2001.

Nobody is going to believe a word out of that man's mouth about the economy. People know it's totally screwed up, and that only people who are heavily invested in the stock market have a reason to smile, and even they haven't made any money; they just haven't lost it.

It's not even the sucky economy. It's the lies about the sucky economy!
