Daily Kos: Death of American dream
Just saw this article on Daily Kos;

(Written by an American expat living in the European Union).
It wasn't until I left America that I started to realize how badly the American plutocrat owned media lies to the American people through its disinformation campaign.

Well today for a span of at least this one Daily Kos diary, you will get to see what the American plutocrat owned media never wants you to see, and that is how Europe in particular and the world in general has come to see America as a country in decline, whose people are so badly misinformed by the media, they actually don't realize that America is the only major industrialized nation in the world that by right of law does not offer universal medical access, paid sick leave, paid maternity leave and paid annual leave. It just seems almost impossible to get that word out to the American people. Even diaries on that subject at the Kos top out at just over 2,000 views. Let's please remember the purpose of the plutocrat owned commercial media isn't so much to inform us but rather to sell commercial advertising space.

Therefore this diary today will try to do something different. It will show you what the European media is saying about the American dream and you will be shocked!

...or at least permanent residency (he is an UK citizen so EU residency laws apply). At just 30, they've already figured out that the "American dream" is most likely to be realized in Europe, at least during their lifetimes. They leave in a month.

8. Good for them. I am trying to talk Mrs. D_J into escaping
we have a nice little nest egg to grease the wheels. I envy your daughter and SIL for their bravery and lucidity.

2. Highly recommend.
I knew this information, but having it in graphic form makes it startling. HOW CAN THIS INFORMATION BE MADE KNOWN TO ALL US CITIZENS???????? To those who only listen to limp balls, faux, it needs to be implanted into their conscious brain. How can we help to do this??????? (They don't read Kos or DU.) I suppose those who are brave could plant it into right-wing blogs, but would probably be banned.

6. You Realize They May Be Unreachable
You realize they may be unreachable. Trying to pass the word along that middle-class West Europeans have a more prosperous lifestyle runs counter to decades of assumptions and propaganda here in the US. Aging baby-boomers like me still have this background picture of the poor unfortunate West Europeans digging out from the rubble of World War II (And the sexagenarians and septuagenarians who listen to Faux Noise have that impression much more firmly than the rest of the fifty-plus cohort does). And if Red State America does one thing exceedingly well, it practices denial.

I think the members of America's screwed classes will only wise up as the "reverse" brain drain revs up and America's best and brightest start crossing the Atlantic in force to seek better lives for themselves and their families.

:argh:

:patriot:

all other social media outlets. So the dumb and dumber maybe will wake up to the lie that is the American dream (nightmare).

7. Our slide into 3rd world status began when Limpballs took power
Our recovery will start when he and all of his ilk are removed from power. Until that happens, expect things to continue to worsen.
