A Letter to President Obama
Mr. President,

Here's the thing, you are dealing with a group of people, republicans, which do not care a whit for the average American, period. You are watching them try to break the backs of the working Americans while trying to negotiate a deal.

The republicans could care less if their actions cause the deaths of children because of a lack of funds to get food, in the name of getting more money for their rich benefactors. That is all they care about, the rich, the powerful, because they give to the republicans so they can get back to Washington to push the millionaire and billionaire's agenda, period.

The republicans would rather allow working Americans to suffer daily, than give up their billionaire's tax cuts. The republicans would allow small business to not be able to get the loans which would employ Americans wanting to work, in the name of getting billionaire's their tax cuts. republicans are against working Americans, period.

The republican base is the rich and powerful, and most of their base will probably expatriate themselves to avoid having to pay taxes, because they are rich enough to do so. In other words, they are willing to denounce their citizenship, no longer be considered a United States Citizen, all in the name of not paying their taxes. That, my fellow working Americans, is Treason of the highest order and the republicans, by their support of this billionaire's tax cut, are committing Treason. Ok, maybe not, but it is pretty bad...

In the end all that will be left supporting the republicans, once the billionaires have gotten all they can and left America, will be the Tea Party folks. You know the ones, dreaming of being rich enough to be able to opt out of the American tax system but are still making their monthly payments on the rental furniture, those people. We will be left to sweep up the elephant dung, once again.

Mr President, I know you did what you could, considering the horrid working conditions. I know things are about to get ten times worse starting next year. I know the very same people that caused this entire economic disaster is about to regain power. However, you are a co-equal branch of government and as such you have the power to rally working Americans against the supporters of the billionaires. The numbers don't lie, we out number the billionaires, there are more of us and we support America, we would never "opt out" of America in the name of not paying our taxes.

We need to support our troops and we do, through taxes. We need to build roads, fix decaying bridges and we do, through taxes. We need to support hospitals, research and education and we do, through taxes. For each millionaire or billionaire that expatriates themselves out of our tax system, they are making it harder for a hospital to be built, for our children to gain an education, for our roads to move commerce and for our troops to have what they need to be safe and strong. These billionaires and millionaires are who the republicans support, not working Americans.

Signed,

A working American.
