ISI stops sharing intel with CIA
Source: Times of India/Sunday Telegraph

LONDON: Pakistan's spy agency has stopped sharing intelligence with the CIA following the unilateral US operation to kill Osama bin Laden, it was reported here.

ISI agents, who had earlier been credited with helping spot targets for drone strikes and give data to the CIA, have now started to withhold crucial operational details about militants, The Sunday Telegraph reported. US commandos killed Osama May 2 at his Abbottabad mansion. The US said it had not shared information about the daring raid with Pakistan. The media report said the ISI has now broken off relations with the CIA.

"They are furious. They handed over telephone intercepts in 2009 that were crucial in leading to bin Laden's courier — the key breakthrough in the hunt," a source was quoted as saying.

"Then four months ago they were told there was nothing in it, it was what the Americans called a 'cold lead'. Since then they have been left out completely out of the loop."

2. Teh same guys that didn't know Bin Laden was in their own friggin' country?
Big whop....I'm still not convinced that the ISI aren't in bed with Al-Q anyway...why did their number one or two guy wire $100k to Mohamad Atta 12 months before 9-11? Non-one has yet answered that satisfactorily...

5. Oh they fucking new Bin Laden was there.
They're burning the candle at both ends of the stick. Terrorists have lots of cash and so does the U.S. The ISI isn't that stupid, but they are that greedy.

3. OBL and 9/11 have been huge moneymakers for Pakistan
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the ISI was behind 9/11. It resulted in a billion dollar windfall for Pakistan in the end. Have we been played for the past 10 years??

4. The same ISI that can't find it's ass with both hands?
The same ISI that takes U.S. aid money and uses it to train Kashmiri seperatists, because they see India as the 'real' enemy, not their home-grown religious radicals?

7. So Pakistan stopped lying to the CIA, huh?
The ISI is simply not trustworthy in any case.

But if this is really a problem for the U.S. government, then it should cut some of the aid to Pakistan.
