Long lines, confusion, staggering costs to taxpayers show failure of Voter ID test run mock election

Estimates are coming to fruition that it would take voters half an hour or more if there are fifteen other voters in line with the new Fitzwalkerstan Voter ID legislation that is obviously aimed at making it harder for people to participate in elections.

Based on the absolute lie of “voter fraud”, where even Walker shills like Attorney General Van Hollen spent years and thousands of taxpayer dollars in a boondoggle study finding that there was 0.003% of voters who committed “voter fraud” in 2008, the Voter ID legislation does as was predicted. It’s meant to suppress voting; it’s meant to make it difficult to vote for minorities, seniors, the disabled, poor people and students and it’s meant to be based on pure Stalinist propaganda.

After all, Josef Stalin stated that “It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.” Walker’s Voter ID policy would be happily embraced by the likes of Papa Doc Duvalier, Slobodan Milosevic, William Marcy Tweed of Tammany Hall and just about any tinpot totalitarian that has infected the human race throughout history.

So what happened with the mock election straggled with the new Voter ID policies?http://scottwalkerwatch.com/

1. Another GOP success story
This is exactly what they want, to drive voters away from the polls.

How sad is it when the only way you can win elections is to disenfranchise voters?

3.  "In 2008, records showed that 2,983,417 voters cast their ballot in the [WI] National Election.....
There is very few actual fraud cases in WI.

But Walker and the RepublicansTeaParty kept repeating the LIE and the media for the most part was lazy.

DOJ task force charges 20 with voter fraud in ‘08
Allegations from presidential election surface while policy makers debate ID bill’s merits

Updated Tuesday, February 1, 2011 1:35:25 a.m.

Following a state task force investigation into a number of Wisconsin counties’ 2008 presidential election ballots, 20 Wisconsinites have been charged with committing election fraud.

The charges come in the midst of a legislative debate about a proposed bill requiring residents to show photo identification to vote at the polls.

Investigations of voter fraud in the 2008 election began in July 2008 when Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen and Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm first formed the Election Fraud Task Force, according to a Department of Justice statement.

The DOJ and Milwaukee County prosecutors charged 11 felons for voting, six people for voter registration misconduct and two people for voting twice, according to a DOJ statement.

4. I found this in your posted article:

“Law enforcement that works together works better,” Van Hollen said in the DOJ statement.

Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel, who joined the task force in July 2010, said in the DOJ statement that as long as Wisconsin fails to enact voter identification, prosecutors will not be able to enforce election laws.

Van Hollen would not work together on the Walker john doe case...

Republican Brad Shimel needs to be just as concerned with the prosecution of election fraud, human error, Nicholas as he is with the prosecution of voter fraud... These two Republicans need to enforce the law regardless if it suites them or not.... When Kathy Nicholas breaks the law it's human error, When 20 other people break the law it's a crime.. They can't have it both ways...

5. Kathy Nicholas is incompetant to say the least. Many wonder
including me if something sinister is going on. Yet she got re-elected (red district). Waukesha County has a lot of corruption.

9. Better yet, help vulnerable voters get the required Photo I.D.'s.
Right now, they need to meet the requirements. There's no use "registering" them if they don't have the required I.D."s.

11. The league of women voters is challenging the voter id law...
The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Education Fund will challenge Wisconsin’s new Voter ID law based on the state constitution. As a nonpartisan organization that encourages participation in government, the league is concerned about voter disenfranchisement and as a result is is working with Attorney Lester Pines of Cullen Weston Pines & Bach to challenge the legislature’s authority to enact the law.

According to information from the league, his challenge is different from lawsuits brought in other states against voter ID laws because it is based on the Wisconsin state constitution. The suffrage or voting portion of the state constitution defines who may vote (citizens, 18 years of age or older, residents of Wisconsin) and specifies the permitted subjects relating to suffrage on which the legislature may enact laws: defining residency; providing for voter registration; providing for absentee voting; excluding felons and persons adjudicated incompetent from suffrage; and extending the right of suffrage to additional persons.

“Some people say that you have to show ID to use the library, cash checks, and so on. That is very different than a right that is guaranteed by the constitution of the state or federal government. Those transactions are generally based on personal business decisions of companies or other entities. They are not rights of citizenship,” Ramey said.

The current lawsuit effort would challenge the Legislature’s authority to enact this law which creates a third class of citizens who may not vote — those who do not have ID.
