Video Game's Message to Kids: Convert or Kill Non-Christians
Need more proof that the religious right is interested in forcibly imposing its views on the rest of the nation? They've happily provided it in the form of a video game. It's called Left Behind: Eternal Forces, but I've got a better name for it: Immoral Combat.

I played the tea party zombies must die game online as long as I could stand it.

It may be classless, it may be stupid but it sure as hell isn't anything approaching "imposing its views on the rest of the nation".

Until you posted this I wasn't even aware that it existed, if that's "imposing its views on the rest of the nation" they're doing a mighty piss poor job of it.

On edit, it was released in November 2006 so they're ability to impose its views is even worse than piss poor.

2. Reminds me of the killings English Catholics have done in the 1500s
When Queen Mary, daughter of Queen Catherine and King Henry the VIII restored Rome and the Catholic Church to religious control in England. There were retribution burnings and killings of Protestants as 'heathens' for denying the 'real' church.

We need to remember history when we see these sort of child training games as potential oppressors seek to repeat certain parts of human history we are better off leaving in the past.

3. Here's another example, in another thread

I don't see why the same principles shouldn't apply in both cases. I'm just not sure what those principles are.

8. Your average kid probably wouldn't play this.
These types of games are usually for a certain niche market. Not that it should excuse the content of the game, but the number of kids who'll play this is likely small.
