FYI-A Bush Critic Isn't a Saddam Ally

Editor, Times-Dispatch: In response to Anita Nicholls' letter, "Bush-Haters Have Ally in Saddam Hussein":

Ms. Nicholls seems to take an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" approach when trying to pigeonhole those of us who disapprove of the current administration.

Just because I think America deserves better than Bush does not mean I am in league with Saddam.

When Trent Lott decried President Clinton's actions in Serbia, did that put the GOP in bed with Slobodan Milosevic?

By her logic, it did. Ty Harper. midlothian.

Anyone who disagrees with * wishes that Hussein was still in power.

Well sure as sh*t there are plenty of Iraqi's, those who've lost loved ones (well over 10,000 but remember Iraqi casualties don't count), as well as those innocents who've been tortured or seen their children sodomized, as well as those who've lost their jobs (70% of the population). electricity, heath care, clean water, who needs it. . .?

This idiotic administration has pissed off at least 1/3 of the world. How the hell could we possibly be safer. . . ?

2. You said it
The home country of Mr Nocturne, one that did not join the war on Iraq, is now 'not-so-favoured'. It is a small, island nation, known for being nuclear-free and having socialised healthcare (and lower taxes than the US). Mr Nocturne has heard it said that his country must have been a supporter of the regime in Iraq because of their refusal to join said war. Not so. By extension he must be one himself :eyes:

The US is definitely not safer as a result of ill-thought-out foreign policy. When your traditional allies abandon you in droves you know there is a problem with your cause.
