Fewer Texans support war, poll shows
56% say it's worthwhile, down from 62%
recorded in May

Support among Texans for the war in Iraq is waning,
although 56 percent agree Saddam Hussein's rule of
that country made the war worthwhile, according to
the most recent Texas Poll.

In May, a similar poll of 1,000 Texans found 62 percent
agreed with President Bush's decision to launch the
war. The summer result was the lowest recorded since
the war began in March 2003.

1. Not much of a change
They are so dense it would be impossible to get to 49% ever.
I stay away from that region.

2. It used to be...
The Single Coolest Place on The Planet. I suspect that they added hallucinogens to the water.

Sorry, Texas DU'ers. It ain't your fault. You tried. You got hijacked. Even Ron Paul seems to think so.

5. Yes, I hate the fact that Texas has been hijacked, as you so aptly put it.
I have seen several cars with '*ush-Cheney' and 'W 04' stickers around the neighborhood, and I cannot comprehend how the people driving those cars can vote for the continued dismantling and destruction of their country (and the world, for that matter).
