2. A little late

But I finally got around to reading my bookmarks.

I posted once before that the right-wing CEO I used to work for came to my desk one day and pronounced "The Republican party is the party of God! The democratic party is the party of sex, abortion and drugs."

The moral vs immoral argument is alive and well. But the opinion piece points out quite well that the argument is counterfiet. It is only a ploy to galvanize support from the right and "pick off" as many in the middle as possible. After all, if you have a choice between being perceived as "good" as opposed to "evil" you would naturally portray yourself as good.

If you think the Republican Party is the party of God, consider this: do you know what Party of God is in Arabic? Hezbollah! That means the GOP must be some terrorist organization, huh?
