Dover manager on leave for not paying bills

Scott Daniels, utilities office manager for the City of Dover, is on paid administrative leave for not paying his own utility bills, according to city officials.
Mayor Richard Homrighausen said Friday that Daniels did not pay his electric, water, sewer and trash bills for four months after his wife lost her job. Daniels owed about $1,000.
Daniels was put on paid administrative leave Sept. 14. The Times-Reporter learned of the situation Friday. A call seeking comment from Daniels was not returned Friday night.
Daniels, who is also vice chairman for the Tuscarawas County Republican Party, is now current on the utility accounts. The accounts are for utilities at Daniels’ home and at a rental property.

Makes one wonder if this guy was donating to the Bush campaign rather than paying his utility bills. BTW, the average yearly income in Dover-New Philadelphia is between $18 and $22K per year.
