"Why I hate George W. Bush" - awesome post in the Fray on Slate

Why would I say that I "hate" George W. Bush? Isn't that a little strong? Isn't he just your average politician? Isn't this just some natural extension of your overall left-leaning political views?

I can find very little in the life of George W. Bush to admire or to respect. I can't fault him for having the fortune to be born into a family of wealth, power and privilege. However, all the evidence shows that he never felt any special responsibility came attached to the gifts he received from birth. And I'm not even talking about the responsibility to be some kind of philanthropist or minister to the poor. I'm talking about the responsibility to demonstrate that he was entitled to all that he had by effort as well as by blood.

When I look at George W. Bush, I don't see a patriot. I see a lying, psychopathic narcissist. And it pains me, it grieves me, it WOUNDS me to realize that this puts me not only in the minority… but in the "whacko fringe."

I see Bush as totally evil--which means the absence of good, and you can't find any good in him. He's truly scary.

Yeah, that's what I see, too. Until I read this I hadn't really thought about that feeling of disgust that he generates. It's like the respect you have for a flea--only this flea can bite with the largest armed forces and weapons cache the world has ever seen.

That paragraph he wrote about the smirking and sneering about how the enermies are not a problem anymore really hit home. Oh how I loathed him when I saw him say that. It made me nauseous.

Hate Bush, you bet, he's proven himself a liar and a COWARD, who like the bulk of his neo-con backers wraps himself in the flag. A Patriot-NOT, nor is he much of a man, particularly not the kind of man he tries to portray himself (and insists the media and his party portray him) as. I imagine real men, like John McCain, Tom Daschle, Bob Kerrey, John Kerry, Bob Dole and the many others who have served their country, have to hold their nose in his presence!
