1. thank you Paul Krugman....
Democrats must not become republicans in their pursuit of votes. The DLC is already advocating "closing the culture gap." That's code speak for "lurching to the right of Ronald Reagan."

3. Democrats have a whole lot of very intelligent people
and Krugman is one of the best of the brightest.

His advice we can take to the bank.

9. That's their problem, of course.
Their intelligence. Soon the Democrat appeasers will demand that all intelligent people leave the party and the rest attend Church every Sunday in the hope of winning a Red State or two next time round...

6. It's gonna be a long wait until his return in January
:(

But, on the bright side, with a couple of months worth of anger pent up, I'm sure he'll have a lot of great stuff to say about *'s second inauguration.

On second thought, that's really not much of a bright side, is it?

7. It will STILL be impossible to win in two years the Senate with rigged
voting machines! How do democrats get a paper trail with repugs determining every step of the way, not to have paper trials? Why hasn't there been lawsuits to ensure honest american elections. So it doesn't matter how many democrats show up at the booths, our votes get lost in the data that can't be proved otherwise. We've already lost America.

10. I agree completely
Forget wedge issues - forget gay marriage, guns, Iraq war, terror, whatever. The two big issues this party has to address, or it's doomed, are:

1. the media
2. electronic voting machines

If they don't, say hello to Pres. Hagel or Pres. Jeb Bush, and sweeping Republican majorities in every corner of our government.

WHAT don't they get?

14. I agree, but
there is something else that needs to go on the list.
There is something not right with the american people.
They are either greedy and full of hatred which they hide
behind the flag and a cross. Or they are not too bright.

16. They are all that
and even more. But I think we would do well to ignore that aspect for now. It is too disheartening. For every stupid Murkin, there is at least one intelligent American. We need to focus on the Americans, the Murkins will eventually wipe each other out.

15. There it is
and I would so appreciate it if asshats like Al Franken (I normally love Al Franken!) would stop calling us tinfoil folks for bringing up the obvious insanity of e-voting without a paper trail.

11. How do I get by until January?
Maybe this is the time to cancel my subscription. I just joined the ACLU and could contibute to blackboxvoting.org and other worthwhile groups.

12. Great column
Krugman comes out fighting.

He sounded so depressed (weren't we all, though) Wednesday on Al Franken's show.

13. Yes, he is depressed I think
Dr. Krugman. Definitely one of the best and the brightest. He has
worked tirelessly for so long speaking The Truth, only to be ignored.
A modern day Cassandra. I am going to miss him so much while he works on his text book. But he needs a break, god love him. We all do.
Time to regroup and sort it all out. There is so much to absorb.
