Bush Snatches Victory thru “Virtue” of Harlot -GOP no longer simply ‘red states’--but scarlet -“Anti-gay-marriage” is pro-AIDS virus By Dan Spillane The Liberty Whistle
(SEATTLE) (UPDATE1) 11/11/04 - There has been a claim made in the press--since debunked--that the gay marriage issue brought Bush voters out in droves, and was the major reason for the defeat of Mr. Kerry, in the so-called “red states.” If this were true, it would be the first example in decades of a successful political campaign that capitalized on popular bigotry against a minority group. As it turns out, voter surveys show the “moral issue” voters were most concerned about was not gay marriage, but instead, the Iraq war. Moreover, “materialism and greed” was identified as a major moral issue by a long shot, trouncing gay marriage (1). If follows then, if we are to amend constitutions to address voter intent--it must be on issues of corporate greed, and putting checks and balances on war-making. And yet, no such amendments were on any US ballot in 2004.
But the media and various religious figureheads kept running the “gays lost the election for Kerry” theme over and again. As a result, anxiety rose--high school students were even beating each other up over the gay issue, according to one report. Despite the fact that real moral issues concern voters--which reflect badly on the Bush administration and not gays--Bush and his supporters continue to trumpet their victory in a way that inflicts maximum angst against gays. So expect more bashing, the likes of which haven’t been seen since pro-slavery campaigns.
Remarkably, gay marriage isn’t even an issue in most of the red states; even in blue states, someone else’s marriage, gay or not, rarely affects third parties (jealous love triangles aside). In fact, the idea that someone else’s marriage affects the definition of another is absurd. Do the torrid, serial marriages of Hollywood stars affect marriages in Georgia? And if so, should they be banned? And what of death row murder convicts—they can get married minutes before execution related to horrid crimes, and no one feels tarnished. That’s right, according to Bush, criminals can get married even with right to life voided by law; but law-abiding gays can’t. And what about AIDS? It is an established fact that marriage is an important weapon against the scourge.
Ironically, the very notion of a fusion of church and state that seeks to dominate the political climate is specifically warned against in Christian scripture. That’s right, according to the bible, when the “kings” of men court the church for power, they often do so in order to provide cover for their own laundry list of moral transgressions. The bible goes so far as to deem this type of union that of a “Harlot,” in multiple verses. Indeed, Bush’s chronic moral problems sit squarely in the sights of every American--and they go well beyond Iraq deceptions. Certainly, multiple oil and Halliburton schemes speak of Bush’s greedy abandon; an FBI investigation is in progress. In addition, Bush is probably the first president to be elected amidst an ongoing criminal leak investigation—how many voters were thinking about morals related to the criminal president when they voted? And just how ‘moral’ are tax breaks for the rich, for items such as SUVs and yachts, even while US job growth is at an all-time low, and our soldiers are dying in Iraq? Clearly, Bush is characterized by unprecedented IMmoral, and not moral values.
So by his election, Bush has created yet more division, and a battle is ahead. If Bush chooses to divert the public’s attention by attacking gays—and already married couples--he will have to put down masses in the streets, using no doubt his new “anti-terrorism laws” to boot. On the other hand, if he forsakes his “Harlot” bride he courted in churches, the repercussions will be equally as bad.
What’s clear from all this, and outlined by scripture, is if Bush has ‘capital’ to spend after an election, and where morals are the top issue, it is only through his tryst with a southern Harlot that he has a ‘mandate.’ It only follows then, Bush’s capital from the red states isn’t political at all--but rather, is in the form of the capital letter ‘R’--emblazoned in scarlet.
