Dr. Bob Jones: Letter to Bush (Major BARF Alert)
Edited on Fri Nov-12-04 04:17 PM by dand
The media tells us that you have received the largest number of popular votes of any president in history, congratulations.

In your re-election, God has graciously granted America- though she doesn't deserve it- a reprieve from the agenda of paganism. You have been given a mandate. We the people expect your voice to be like the clear and certain sound of a trumpet. Because you seek the lord daily, we who know the Lord will follow that kind of voice eagerly.

Don't equivocate. Put your agenda on the front burner and let it boil. You owe the liberals nothing. They despise you because they despise your Christ. Honor the lord, and He will honor you.

It is now official, we all despise Christ and the President owes us nothing.(Is this a Caucasian Taliban?)

1. Bob Jones is a severe radical! The only people who pay
attention to him are his students and "some of their families".

I lived about 6 miles from BJU for about 6 years. They are very different people!

5. "Severe radical"??
We seem to be thinking along the same lines. Just a few seconds ago, I bookmarked that site under a folder I had created a few days earlier: "Radical Clerics" (I was originally planning on naming it "Mad Mullahs", but I settled on the other one).

LOL LOL LOL

7. Why does everyone call these people "radicals"....
Edited on Fri Nov-12-04 05:28 PM by Branjor
They are reactionaries - on the opposite end of the spectrum from radicals.

This "radical" nomenclature may actually be part of the problem. Radicals are traditionally on the far left wing of the spectrum, reactionaries on the far right wing. Radicals are people who want to get to the very roots of a social problem and go forward to eradicate those roots, creating change in social systems deeply rooted in injustice and inequality. Reactionaries are people who want to go even further into the past, when the injustices and inequalities were even worse than today. It is quite obvious which group of people it is that wants to take us back to the middle ages - the "radical" (that is, reactionary) clerics such as those at Bob Jones U and their followers. Radicals are often (wrongly) stereotyped as "nut cases", "violent", anarchists and the like but it is understood that they are tackling important social problems with the purpose of eliminating ancient miscarriages of justice and are therefore "good", even if their tactics may sometimes be misguided. On the other hand, there is NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING, good about reactionaries.

We may win the perceptual war against the "radical" right if we start referring to these people as what they really are - REACTIONARIES.

3. John Ashcroft is very close with Bob Jones University
Here is what Ashcroft said about Judge Robertson and announced this week would seek to over turn a ruling by U.S. District Judge James Robertson in the case of Salim Ahmed Hamdan, who the government contends was Osama bin Laden driver.

Judge Robertson halted Hamdan's trial by military commission in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, rejecting the Bush administration's position that the Geneva Conventions governing prisoners of war do not apply to al-Qaida members because they are not soldiers of a true state and do not fight by international norms.

A pattern is developing and its not hard to understand which direction it is going.

4. This is what this country is up against!
:evilfrown:

The bible speaks often of those who bear false witness against God. I'm sure He is watching Dr. Jones very closely.
