The shining city on a hill...tortures
"detainees" at Gitmo says Red Cross. The US of A a torturing nation!

This administration continues to ruin the ideals of this nation. The mindless , blind, neo cons, continue their robotic support. I just don't understand why no one other than the "journalists" on line , especially on the DU see this and few out in Bushworld see it. What is it going to take to piss off Me. and Mrs. Joe Republican; maybe a video tape of the US killing kids or cutting off heads?

Sickens me that the good people of Ukraine have the guts to take to the streets and fight for the freedoms they want. We in this country are content to sit on our asses and wait and see if anything Dubya might do will directly hurt our immediate concerns. Where is the nationalism in this country? Does anyone care? Sad sad sad!

1. Materialism
Has blinded us,Our fear of death death is glorified and denied,But death undeniable and lurking everywhere(so the TV says).Fear of uncertainty drives people to seek more "security" that cannot ever exist in an uncertain reality. We live in a culture with no community bonds or emotional depthor sharing or compassion..in a winner takes all wotrld the illusion of security is found in aquiring more things and impressing other people, making a little feifdom for yourself, all are temporary fixes for a deep emotional hole built by emotional neglect by too busy people who look to things to feel happy instead of facing the fear ,finding a comfortable state of mind that is thier own, looking for a quick fix for a deep scar .We are failing to look at what we do trhat abuses,we will not take responsibility and grow past our own assholes and throw away all the other illusions society creates to benifiet the few with wealth and power to keep the inequality status quo alive and let certain people in certain circumstances feel entitled! As long as we value things over people,we look outside ourselves for how to find ourselves and never self actualize, as long as we turn other people into things for us to exploit,as a means to satisfy our wants, to use or dominate when we feel scared or deprived we will NEVER be happy and feel secure in this uncertain reality we all share together.
