WP columnist: the Langley Lobotomy

Finally, after a steady stream of post-election steaming piles from the likes of the loon Krauthammer and the unindicted, hopelessly conflicted-of-interest traitor Novak, the sane voice of David Ignatius emerges from the Post op-ed page to tell the truth about the CIA shenanigans:

And certainly the CIA could improve its performance: It is too risk-averse, too prone to groupthink, too mired in mediocrity. But the cure for these problems is hardly to send in a team of ideologues from Capitol Hill and drive out the agency's most experienced intelligence officers. This politicization can only make the agency's underlying problems even worse. And heaven knows what foreign intelligence services, which are America's crucial partners in the war on terrorism, make of the spectacle at Langley. ... "

They managed to lie about the info they got from the CIA, and get away with it; with all the blame for the war based on lies being heaped upon the agencies doorstep. Their director steps down in disgrace, and then political purges ravage their ranks, and all the remaining spooks just keep their heads down saying, "please sir, may I have another?"

The CIA; what a bunch of cowards. But, what do you expect from professional villians.
