I just received my paper copy of the 11/17 Texas (Crawford) Iconoclast. Articles include "Dems cut coat tails, how Democrats defeated GOP mythology in Bush's backyard," "Voting machine...or slot machine?," "Raising the roof: Will the debt ceiling be debated?"

A column by the publisher says, in part:

"The newspaper has witnessed a fairly volatile few weeks following the publication of an editorial that resulted in numerous Crawford residents canceling subscriptions and pulling ads.

"To make up the difference in subscriptions, citizens from throughout the United States have subscribed, and as of this writing, the circulation of The Iconoclast has grown to about 2,400. It had been approximately 920 prior to publication of that editorial." (the one endorsing John Kerry)

"Since many of the local avenues have been closed off to the newspaper, at least for the time being, The Iconoclast will now focus more sharply on investigations and political insight pieces...
