Sham election has united liberals

When I think I've heard it all, Republican hypocrisy soars to a new level. It was amazing listening to a GOP senator infer that because the exit polls in Ukraine said our guy won, then there must have been voter fraud when Putin's candidate was declared victorious. Let me get this straight: Exit polls in Ukraine are accurate, but when a substantial Kerry win is predicted they say, "Oh my! There must be something wrong with the way we do our exit polls."

No matter what Mr. Shock says in his letter, there is no question that there was massive voter fraud in our presidential election. Exit polls are never off by any significant amount. Suddenly, we get paperless computerized voting machines and now they are inaccurate. Anyone believe that? Well! I got a bridge to sell ya.

A number of statistical analyses have been done. The odds that there was no voter fraud ranged from about 1,000 to 1 to 250 million to 1. To believe that this was a fair election, one has to be either willfully ignorant or delusional.

I won't take up space listing the irregularities of Nov. 2, but if anyone wants to check many of them out, I refer them to these Web sites:

1. Real Americans despise Bushit
The only people who buy into the idea that Bushit won legimatly are terrorist sympathizers. It was the members of his cabinet that are responsible for creating and funding Bin Laden and Hussein in the eighties. They are the reason why we have 3000 dead in NY and 1500 dead in Iraq.

They seek to destroy America and create a Fascist state. This sham election should not be tolerated by one member of this board!!!!

The Repiglican party is the party of traitors and murderers.

2. The remedy.
Democrats should canvass their voters. Who did you vote for on 11/2?
Have them sign an affidavit to that effect. Invite Republicans who voted for Kerry to do the same. Compare to actual results.

I'm confident Kerry kicked Bush's ass. But the Republicans own the voting machines, the process, the rules, and the media. So much for Democracy, until we can convince ourselves that the system is broken. And that can only happen when we stop playing by the Republican rules.

The DNC would be quite wise to undertake this on a major scale. While they're at it, why not ask us who we'd like to see as DNC chair?

3. All good points but.......
I'm still baffeled by the Democratic primaries.

I cant find one person who voted for Kerry.

Am I the only one who sees that?

I get the feeling that Repiglicans crosed lines to vote in these primaries. It wouldnt surpirise me if that was the case as they are known for these tactics.

We need a new DLC leader along with a DNC chair. Both are running this party to ruin.

I'm skeptical of the national elections and the primaries these days. The way Bush attacked Kerry from day one was WAAAAAAAY to orchestrated. I think it was organized much earlier.

5. Hmm... could be. What I read was that they expected Dean to win & were
suprised by the Kerry surge too. Don't know. I think that was in the Newsweek series.

6. Question about a line in the article
I love what the guy is suggesting about how united we are (although I've yet to see much evidence of it myself) but there's a line in the article that I'm wondering if anyone here can back up? He says people "think this was a sham election. In fact, there are over a 150 million Americans who also do."

He's suggesting that over 150 million Americans believe the election was a sham? Anyone have an idea where he comes up with that figure? I'd love for it to be true, but I can't buy it without some kind of evidence supporting it.

Because of some of his other statements, I'd like to forward the article, but I don't like to forward anything that can be ripped apart by a potential fabrication (or unnecessary exaggeration).

7. It's all speculation.
Quite frankly, I think people just pull a topic out of their butt and write about it. It's speculation, it's bullshit. CommonDreams isn't a particularly Dem-friendly website, so perhaps they are referring to those left of Dems coming together. However, I do believe that anyone paying attention realizes there were some serious "irregularities" with the election, in spite of the fact that the R's claim a resounding victory. Whatever.
