NYT editorial: "Count Every Vote"
Not nearly enough information about the growing list of election fraud nationwide, but for those of us who are frustrated about the lack of media attention, here's another pinlight of exposure:

1. I suspect these little NYT stories are just CYA
I think these little, incomplete stories by the NYT are intended only as a CYA, so that they have something to point to when people accuse them of totally ignoring an important story. If they truly wanted to get the truth out, the stories would not be so short and unconvincing. This way, if, say, an African-American reader complained that the paper shows racism by not covering voter suppression and fraud, they can respond that they DID cover it. See, they're not partisan or racist, right?

The editors appear to be to dole out the attention to the election fraud in carefully measured amounts. Just enough for CYA, not enough to actually give anybody the idea that there's an important story out there -- massive voter disenfranchisement, solid evidence of fraud, and quite possibly (you and I know it's more than just possible) a second stolen election by the * cartel.

Disgusting. If it really is just CYA as I suspect, it shows that they know what has really happened and have decided to do nothing to protect democracy as it hangs by a thread. Knowing complicity is even worse than willful blindness in some ways.

2. In Ohio, where a recount of the presidential election is under way, ...
In Ohio, where a recount of the presidential election is under way, it is becoming clear that as important as recounts are, they are not enough to ensure the integrity of our elections. Representative John Conyers Jr., a Democrat from Michigan, has charged that an employee of a company that makes vote-counting software used across the state may have tampered with one county's vote tabulator after the election to make the recount come out right. If people other than election officials have free access to the tabulation software, it can make a recount an empty gesture.

I had just found this editorial myself.

3. Kudos to the NYT. We need to let them know we agree.

4. I agree, and was impressed that this was the lead editorial
In Washington State, we aren't used to making the editorials of the NYTimes or other major papers. But what is going on here is immense, because it comes down to the democratic principles of counting all legitimate votes. The Republicans appear to want to do so only if it may be in their favor.

If on Wednesday, when King County announces its recount (without the disputed ballots still to be counted if okay'd by the state Supreme Court), Democrat Gregoire has surpassed Republican Rossi in the overall state count by a small number of votes, you can just bet that the Republicans will then switch their sides and start calling for the count of the disputed ballots.
