Selling Terrorism Futures - Who would have made the $$$
This is so disgusting it is surreal.

If Poindexter makes a bet that Arafat will die on a certain date ...and he has the connections to make it happen he can make a lot of money off of it...

Its all so sick!

2. Sounds familiar
Sounds like if someone were to for some reason sell all of his UAL stock short just before the 9/11 attacks... He would make a fortune

3. They decided to say it was scrapped

I think the consensus among the regime henchmen is it's something that should have been kept private in the first place.

5. It probably will be now.
I think it will become another one of those "classified" documents which can't be opened for "national security" reasons.

4. It would promote more terrorism
Your common thug on the street would put down $100,000 that something would be attempted. Then they would do it half-heartedly so they wouldnt get caught. Then collect on there prediction. That has to be the most idiotic thing i have ever heard...LOL

6. You know, I think it would have been an effective
predictor of terrorism, but I couldnt stomach actually doing it this way.

8. effective only because the people involved could potentially
fix it that way.

The people on NPR this afternoon were talking about this being future market being limited to a select audience...

9. But who is betting against him? Who makes the payoff?
Something this slimy shouldn't just be allowed to go away. I want a full investigation of the people who wasted $600,000 on this act of genius.
