IMUS & O'REILLY on WIENER-Savage

In the morning, there was the spectacle of IMUS and his stooges cracking up as Charles read off the news about the death of the conjoined twins. MSRNC chose to run video at that moment of the twins turning from the camera and running like in fast-forward, which the IMUS gang said looked like Monty Python.

Then there was a BRIEF reference to the WIENER fiasco and firing, when one of the "thoughtful" stooges said to the chief ANUS, "How is what he said different from what we hear here every day?" There was a TINY silence while GUILTY recognition BRIEFLY settled in, yet flitted off.

Then in the afternoon radio show, O'REILLY said a NEWS network could NOT have done otherwise than to fire WIENER, but, predictably O'WHORELY kept enlarging a "tolerant" view of WIENER, saying that WIENER is "a bomb thrower," that he does this on his radio show ALL THE TIME, that NBC (MSRNC) had to fire him JUST for the sake of their own credibility, but that it was KNOWN from the start that WIENER did this bomb throwing schtick. He also said that perhaps WIENER should have been given a warning and a suspension. His guest IMMEDIATELY demolished the "warning" thing, saying SORENSEN had PRE-warned him, had said JUST ONE misstep would bring the end.

So O'WHORELY does his usual apologism thing. But why isn't ANUS taken off? He's racism, homophobia, and partisan operative all rolled into one.

I'd have to watch some of this crap, myself, just to keep up. ;))))

Actually, I think Imus is a GREAT barometer for the real world political climate. What do white guys believe these days? If you know what I mean.

I excitedly told a former co-worker on the phone about the new DU software, about all the neat features. When I was through, she said, "That's just GREAT, sweetie." It sounded like a maw indulging a kid. Hmmmm.

That makes Limbaugh's cheap shots at Chelsea Clinton seem positively tame by comparison. That heartless stooge needs to go back to drinking. I can't fathom the mindset that would find that amusing.

That's hitting a new low even for them! It reminds me of Jon Stewart at the WH Correspondents Dinner the year after Imus had made a total ass of himself. Jon did a dead-on impersonation of what Imus would have said at the 1944 WH Correspondents dinner-"Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to the 1944 White House Correspondents Dinner here at the beautiful Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. We're delighted to have on the dais our crippled president and his butt-ugly wife." I love Jon Stewart.

keep testing the "media waters." I do it myself and everytime I am screaming at the screen, ready to throw shoes or fruit or whatever at the lying media whores. I am crazy for hours when I watch for more than five minutes.


Ever hopeful that some light will dawn in the media whore house......and while there are glimmers....there's never more than that.........It's disgusting.

I viewed the tube tonight......so I'm particularly upset. If I had seen Imus this a.m. with those twins, it would have pushed me over.............

Until this meansprited, total lack of humanity or identity even with fellow humans is off the air...we will never have our country back. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM we can't seem to get beyond.

May they all rot in hell........

The other spin to O'R's apologia was that WIENER or whomever can say ANY outrageous thing on the RADIO or M-TV or VH1, but the difference was the venue of t.v.

On the afternoon show a caller pinned O'WHORELY down on the inconsistency of how he went after Ludicris with a boycott while giving WIENER a pass. O'R squeezed out of this by saying Ludicris (is an entertainer?).
