Take Back the Media - boycott CBS Superbowl for refusing MoveOn?
Should we create a Boycott of ALL the other Advertisers on the Superbowl halftime if CBS refuses to show MoveOn.org Voter Fund's winning ad?

Remember, WE were a finalist - this time it's PERSONAL.

Even though OUR ad is running in New Hampshire now we still want to get MoveOn's back, this is censorship pure and simple. Standards and Practices? They've got to be kidding. It's Bullshit and we all know it.

What do you think? SHould Take Back the Media organize a boycott of those that DO advertise on the Superbowl?

Anti-Bush Ad Contest Submits SuperBowl Commercial (CBS: unlikely to air)

WASHINGTON (AdAge.com) -- Liberal activist group MoveOn.org announced it has chosen an anti-President Bush ad to air ahead of next week's "State of the Union" address and said it is negotiating with CBS to gain airtime on the Super Bowl.

Mr. Fisher was not available for comment at the Copenhagen office. A spokeswoman for MoveOn said Mr. Fisher created the ad "on his own time." No further details about the production and post-production logistics were available.

Calls for comment to Leo Burnett USA's Chicago headquarters have not yet been returned.

A spokesman for CBS said the Viacom-owned network has received the request from MoveOn to run the ad in the Super Bowl, but added that the ad has to go through standards and practices before CBS will say if it can run an advocacy ad during the game. The spokesman said he didn't think it was likely that the spot would pass standards and practices.

1. Yes
Let's politely inform them that, unless they cancel any and all advocacy ads, to include those silly "drugs help the terrorists" spots, during the SuperBowl, a full scale boycott of all the other advertisers will be initiated. Might be fun.

Silly liberal media.

2. How will the media react?
The serious whores - like Fox - they won't play the good ad over and over (the one with the children working) they will play the Bush Hitler ad in reference to move-on.

Be careful what you wish for. At least if the ad is paid for and running then no one else gets to control that message.

3. ehhhhh
this one is only slightly better than "let's run out in the street and stop the war"

if they don't run any right ads, it's fine with me, too. I don't give a hoot, cause I don't watch it anyway. but if they run a rightard ad and not a left ad, that's fuct.

I think it's great they they have made it news, because otherwise noone would have ever noticed the ad.

I've been on there before, he made fun of my hat and threatened to cut off the microphones on me and American Stranger..

if you look, you can see that I'm ready to fight with this guy but then he actually LIKES the ad..

sheesh, go figger.. maybe Joe has a new girlfriend or is in some sort of remission..

maybe Limbaugh gave him his leftover Oxycontin :) he's still a snake..

again, thanks,

11. A public relations dustup will spotlight the ad's content. A good thing.

12. Hopefully they show it over and over again on the various news outlets to
show the ad that was "banned" by superbowl - that way it will get days of publicity - and reach more people than it would on just a single game. So, lets not worry too much. It will convey its' message one way or the other.
