More Disinformation from Washington's Secretary of State...
State officials recently took the HAVA show on the road, after receiving lots of input during the public comment period, about voter-verified paper trails. Avoiding areas of the state where they knew they would run into trouble, guess what happened? In spite of that, the v-vpb issue was of concern everywhere.

This appears to be their response, same old garbage:

http://www.secstate.wa.gov/elections/pdf/sec_newsletter-.pdf

(If I've messed this up, just got to www.secstate.wa.gov and click on electronic elections or whatever, lower right)

And the quotes come from what we call Reed's "cheerleaders." These are the same people time after time after time that come out to testify for these systems.

We have other problems, too. Elliot wrote the piece, and if you search the FEC pages, you'll find him on the voting systems committee, along with Brit Williams, I believe.

Don't you think state pages like this should have to print the rebuttal side to their rationales, too?
