George W. hypocrisy re Martin Luther King memorial
George W. visited the Marin Luther King memorial in Atlanta, today.

However, in the 2000 election, 60,000 voters in Florida, mostly legal black voters, were prevented from voting because they had been falsely labelled "suspected felons."

This was based on their having similar names to felons in Texas.

Did George W. know in advance about this disenfranchisment? I don't know.

I do know that George W. hasn't prosecuted a single person for federal election law violations over the disenfranchisement.

Furthermore, of the 60,000 people disenfranchised in Florida, 40,000 are STILL off the voter rolls to this day, and George W. hasn't said one public word about that.

2. bush should be arrested for tresspassing.
If he thought it would make him popular, he'd wear a Malcolm X t-shirt. There is no man in North America with less right to honor King than bush.

3. I had to go to court to get my name taken off that list
I was listed a convicted felon! I am a white male it wasn't only black males it happened to. I haven't even been convicted of a misdemeanor. There was more shit that went on in Florida than allot of people know of!

4. What? A hatefilled racist who benefits from racism speaking out?

Nah, it's all just lip-service. I hate to think of the terrbile, hatefilled conversations that criminal has before and after he has to go out and "placate the darkies by remembering their uppity leader who almost got them equal rights."

:argh:
