snip>>NEW LOW FOR LOU!
Personal Vendetta Spills Onto Clark-Hater's Broadcast
Dobbs Cites Drudge in Accusing Clark
Says General Supported Bush's War
But Dobbs Previously Banned Clark from his CNN Show
...For Opposing Bush's War!
Who's the Real Flip-Flopper?

CNN's Lou Dobbs is a Bush Regime apologist and shill.

I know that a lot of people have been praising Dobbs for the past couple of weeks for his shows lately, but please remember that he will always, always back bush* and his election. He is a repuke, no matter what bush* does he will always support him.

1. only on jobs going overseas does Lou think Dem - always for Bush in
all things political.

and on jobs perhaps he sees CNN broadcasting from India as a threat to his own job (indeed the early am CNN from India is quite good!)!

2. My e-mail to CNN re Lou Dobbs
I saw Lou Dobbs' piece yesterday and was so outraged and the total lack of journalistic standards and the outright attempt to rewrite history on CNN that I sent the following e-mail to CNN today:

Dear CNN -

I wanted to report to you a lazy lie that Mr. Dobbs decided to pander to your audience for his RNC masters yesterday. This man who you flaunt as a business "journalist" on your web site is nothing more than a lazy lying hack regurgitating lies from Matt Drudge and their common RNC masters. During yesterday's broadcast, Mr. Dobbs decided to "source" Matt Drudge's egregiously cherry picked quotes from General Clark's Congressional testimony to impugn General Clark's statements that he has always opposed the current administration's invasion of Iraq. Of course as all good journalists knew and as most Americans with the ability to read found out, the full transcript of the testimony shows General Clark was not in favor of the invasion. Of course, this was not within Mr. Dobbs RNC slant but why should the actual facts get in the way of this lazy idiot?

To further buttress the charge of Mr. Dobbs' incompetence, if he had taken the chance to actually make the slightest investigation of the story, he could have found Richard Perle's own statement summarizing General Clark's testimony later in the transcript:

"So I think General Clark simply doesn't want to see us use military force and he has thrown out as many reasons as he can develop to that but the bottom line is he just doesn't want to take action. He wants to wait."

I used to look to CNN for its world-renowned adherence to journalistic standards. After witnessing, with shock, Mr. Dobb's outright lying to his audience I can no longer accept CNN as a serious source for news. Good luck with whatever it is your network is trying to do, but apparently honest news reporting is not one of them.

4. It's sickening how Dobbs
and Kudlow and Cavuto can't keep their big fucking RNC mouths shut. Why must we always get political opinion from economists?

7. Economists?
Dobbs and anyone from CNBC are not economists? They are financial market hacks. Please do not sully my noble (though dark) profession :)

10. Don't paint all economists as RNC types.
Edited on Fri Jan-16-04 04:41 PM by Catfish
There are plenty of economists who are not on the right. Problem is, the right is just over-represented in the media for most professions. Krugman is an economist.

Also, some so-called "economists" aren't economists at all, just blowhard financial types.

6. my letter
Sirs:

Only you stand between the American people and tyranny.

I would hope that CNN would take this awesome responsibility to protect democracy to heart, and do each day's work as if our very liberty depends on it.

It is not the job of journalists to support politicians, or flatter them, or influence their constituents. It is only the duty of journalists to report the truth, in matters small and large, so that a fully informed people may make wise decisions.

I assume that a correction will be made today regarding Mr. Dobbs' woeful distortion of General Wesley Clark's statements.

11. Regardless of how you feel about Clark
You should not support the media when it proports lies. Either Dobbs failed to research the information (lazy) or he didn't care that it was false (tabloid).

Regardless of how you feel about Clark, Shoddy journalism should not be tolerated.
