Did anyone see Eliot Cohen on this morning's WJ?

What a dismissive, smarmy, preachy, stuck up, condescending, right wing wacko.

I saw a total of about 5 minutes of that segment and could never catch his name on screen. Then I switchec channels.

"Supreme Command".

Hi Catwoman...I am a newbie here. I watched Jamie Ruben this am on C-SPAN and then watched Eliot Cohen. I didn't realize who he was even though I had read some snippets about him, until I read your link. I had the same reaction, but I had to listen to the whole thing because I do want to know what these wing nuts are saying.

I never had much of an opinion on him (other than * 'reading' posing with his book).

Until he said that Saddam kicked out the inspectors. When a caller challenged him on it, Cohen blatantly lied and said the caller was wrong. That Clinton had not withdrawn the inspectors before bombing.

What a lying sleazy piece of shit.

I didn't hear what he was saying because I was thinking how easy it would be to kick his scrawny little ass.

I saw the interview too, and it was very annoying when he kept claiming that he is a political independent, when he was obviously lying. He continually referred to "Democrat" presidents and "Democrat" administrations, which, of course, is a favorite ploy of the right wing (ala Tom Delay). I really felt like calling in and calling him on it by telling him that someone as educated as himself surely knows the proper use of the English language, and his use of "Democrat" belies his true political orientation.

It would have been fun to see him squirm a bit as he tried to reconcile his use of an obvious right wing term.

Anyway, that is just one of my pet peeves, and I really with the C-SPAN moderators would correct people on the proper usage of the English language.
