Tide is turning story
Since Jan 2001, my partner has been rolling her eyes everytime I flip the TV to a political show or start grumbling about AWOL... She had described herself as a political agnostic and had maintained that all politicians are alike so what does it matter who is in office...

Last night she started grumbling about how AWOL wants the states to take over AMTRACK, the latest terra-warning, and the how the economy is in the toilet... This went on for a few minutes, and then she announced:

"If that asshole gets re-elected - we're moving to Canada! Everything is going to hell in a handbasket since he took office!"

I was then informed to start doing research on what it takes to move to Canada....

1. Uh...that could be a riptide, Radfringe....

Maybe it's time to get out of the water for a bit, personally :-)

But it's definitely another sign that blaming Bush in public is becoming mainstream behavior again.

2. Oh, crap, he wants to ruin Amtrak, too? We were just

saying the other day it would be nice if America had a decent train system again. Love the trains in Europe. Flying is convenient if you want to get somewhere fast, but as someone said, plane passengers are *shipped* these days, crammed into tiny spaces, etc. Taking a train is *traveling* and much more fun. More comfortable, more civilized, you can see the scenery.

3. Don't Go!
Why give up on what you have here & leave the country to the rethuglicans? Stay here & be their worst nightmare!

4. I hope she isn't aware
of the electronic "voting" method, that would REALLY get her scared.
