ARMY OF ONE Ad in Heavy Rotation on cable in New Hampshire til Primary
Just so everyone knows we had an alternate plan for the ARMY OF ONE ad - we entered it win the Moveon.org Voter Fund's Bush in 30 seconds with the express purpose of not only airing the ad in New Hampshire during and leading up to the primaries BUT to WIN and get it National TV with MoveOn's blessings..

Unfortunately there was some stiff competition and we didn't win, but we feel like we didn't LOSE either as we are sitting here in New Hampshire watching 2500 airings of our ad..

WE DID IT! ALL of your donations have come to fruition - thanks to all of you - ARMY OF ONE Is being seen literally thousands of times here..

It's all vetted with the cable stations, no censorship - and it's ready to go National any time we can drum up more money - as it looks now we'll be running it in Florida next, but after that..

We are also ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL here -- (oops, almost said TRIAL, close enough :)) and tomorrow we'll be chasing down Clark and Michael Moore and others as the day goes on, as well as putting on shows -

You can see where and when and what we are up to here - such as showing our animations, and "UnCovered" - Robert Greenwald's wonderful expose to as many people as possible with our digital projector -- we are also documenting all of these events with TWO Pro Video cameras and will no doubt stream some of that at some point..

We really ARE taking the Media back, and I have some tough questions to ask these people...

Come to the site and get involved, listen to our radio show, or give us tips - http://www.takebackthemedia.com

Keep sending in the bucks, WE DELIVER!

thanks for making this happen - this ad is a crossover ad and it works,

symbolman

6. I know a lot of veterans who would disagree with you
namely my father, career airforce Korean war vet.

My nephew is in Iraq. Addressing what the mainstream media ignores with regards to the thousands of injuries to our troops is very important.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I think there's not a lot of happy soldiers over there...

personal attacks are against the rules, BTW.

Um, I come from a military family and I find your assumption *HIGHLY* offensive. Have you ever served your country? Or are you just another armchair warrior who would sacrifice my nephew for cheaper gas? I'd say it's the latter...

30. Look friend, at this site we respect our soldiers.
If you can't feel concerned about under-equipped troops whose pay and benefits and medical care have been cut out from under them, you probably don't belong on this site. Putting images of soldiers in an ad that decries the way this administration has utterly betrayed our troops I think is just and fitting.

5. I Love living in New Hampshire
Every 4 years we're number 1.
Anyone here can meet any future president if you want.
For two years we're completely ignored and left alone.
At 8am I'm at a Deaniacs meeting with really good people.
I'm an hour from skiing, beach and Boston.

Now if we could only get rid of all the lousy Mosquitoes and Repukes.

8. You guys need a sales tax too
your property taxes are out of control. Ny parents pay more taxes on a condo in a growing NH Seacoast town than on a house in Cambridge. What are you going to do to fund your schools?

58. NEVER a sales tax
But we will have an income tax someday.

I feel this is the one area that Shaheen really fouled up. She tried to hard and long to play the middle of the road rather than come down hard on one side. So we get a statewide property tax.

Shaheen by the way is the big driver of Kerry's campaign and she's teaching him how to sit on the fence, appease everyone and ride out a term without doing much if anything.

60. You prove my point...I LOVE New England
as do New Englanders. I say New Englanders love New England so much, that when they go south for the winter they stop at Conneticut. And only a New Englander would retire to New Hampshire. A New Yorker goes to Florida, a New Englander STAYS in New England....and I cannot say as I blame them. The BEST people on the face of the earth as far as I am concerned....takes alot to get them to warm up but once they do loyalty is job one!

Did I say I LOVE New England. I now live in Virginia...UGH...How I miss New England!!! (Rhode Island)(Providence College)...Lived near Brown University...Rhode Island School of Design...what a GREAT PLACE Providence was!!!

28. I'm a veteran
and was a Reservist. The point is we ask our soldiers to make the ultimate sacrifice. We ask their families to trust that we will take care of them. And then, as the commercial clearly and unambiguously details, the Bush Administration does everything it can to cut pay, benefits and healthcare for the soldiers and their families. The activity of the Bush administration is what's offensive.
You can't handle the truth threemilemind.

44. You are unique--you prefer soldiers die in an ignoble cause?
My view is we should pursue whatever policy saves the most lives on both sides, both Iraqi and American. Cutting benefits, poorly equipping soldiers, and sending them out on imperialist nonsense does not appeal to me. Now that we are in this mess, I hope we get out with as little death and loss as possible for all concerned.

Do you think we should still be in Vietnam? Do you disagree with US Grant, Sherman, Eisenhower, Pershing, Butler and others on the horrible cost of war? What war did you fight in that you wish for others to die for an ignoble cause? Answer all these questions, and we'll know better where you stand.

Once in a while they've got to come to DU and raise a little stink, and then we try logic with them, then we debate, then we argue, and finally they slink away or get banned, and then the DU air is fresh and clean again ...

... until the next freeper invasion. What with bush being full of sh**, lots of bushfarts that find their way over here.

55. and what does the democratic party plan to do about it?
I see this as a great plug against bush...sure, he is about as much a soldier as your common street thug and there are other instances such as not enough of the new body armour available so families of soldiers spent their own money buying it on the open market and shipping it to their sons and daughters. But when a plug just ends with a problem, one cannot assume whoever is criticizing the problem has a solution. The ethnic wars in Kosovo and Iraq have waged hundreds if not thousands of years. We go there to help and as you help one ethnic group, you enrage the other. With such a huge availability of small arms and unending hostility which can't be taken against eachother, the us becomes the obvious target. After 10 years of kosovo occupation the military is on the virge of pulling out in favor of new missions in which it is unable or unwilling to fullfill but must to save the current presidents face. We ourselves have not united as a country from slavery after 100 years. This war will not be won as the american people are not willing to spend billions if not trillions over decades and more importantly the loss of thousands of our troops. Eventually we will pull out like a drunk wondering what on earth we did that for.

me

as a passing note to all the antiwar people who campain outside military bases, do you really think anybody there wants to go get shot at? we will kill people if we are told to, only because if we do not we will either be shot or imprisoned. trust me, 99% only join for the college money

The truth is, there IS a solution and that's to get BUSH OUT OF OFFICE..

by all peaceful means of course..

sorry about the disruptor, sort of wish I'd been able to read what it wrote - sounds pretty illogical from the leavings, though..

As a Veteran I have every right to make these claims and it is FOR the troops and their families benefits..

We want to get a few billion put BACK where it belongs, and what better time..

besides, I have a spinal problem and want MY benefits restored, thanks to Bush I'm too poor to pay attention :)

I appreciate all the folks sticking up for the ad, I think it pisses off the right, just like someone on the battle field stealing their flag and running the other way with it, confusing the enemies troops long enough to beat them :)
