I think displaying dissent in the SOTU is great!
Ever see the UK Prime Minister's annual address to Parliment? There is hearty and loud agreement AND dissent - loud hurrahs and boos. It's funny that after 200 years our culture in politics is more restrained in displaying dissent than England's.

1. Off topic: how did you decide upon your name.
My brother is an Ayn Rand fanatic.

profoundly distrust the power of corporations. They are artifical, immortal constructs given the rights of men and used to shield individuals from the consequences of their actions. So I don't fit in too well with the modern day "conservative" movement.

2. Ever see the Australian parliament in session?
Aussie MPs make the rest of the world look like a bunch of amateurs (except the Japanese parliament; even Aussies don't rush the podium and throw punches at the speaker).

My heart racing when I heard those first, faint little BOOs from the left side of the aisle last night. I was hoping it would swell into a crescendo that would drown out the chimp.

Come on, wimpy Dems, get LOUD!

3. Imagine Bush having to appear in the Senate or
House once a month. Kennedy yelling. Dems laughing. Byrd lecturing on the Constitution. Booing. Hissing. Yahoos from the pukes.

I agree. Dessent in the SOTU is appropriate.

can still protest within range of the Chimp-in-Charge. I'm with you guys, Dems in Congress should boo, hiss, and scream at that unelected fraud, moron.

I went to protest at his inauguration and you wouldn't believe the rage directed at that thief. I've never heard, or been part of such a mass loathing before. It felt so great, temporarily, to let that fraud know he and his cabal hadn't pulled the wool over the eyes of all Americans.
