Scalia: Dick's Duck Blind Justice
Spread the word - Put it on bumper stickers. Enough publicity and ridicule just might force Tony to recuse himself from the Cheney lawsuit. Our chances get better if Scalia is forced off the case. Do you think Me too Clarence is going to rally a majority of the court for Cheney? I don't think so.

5. Oh, I don't know - I think people would figure it out.

It might take a little while - but as soon as some major news media picked it up the word would get out. Plus it is quite catchy, dontcha think?

3. do you think he needs to be sitting on the bench
to pull the strings?? i agree with you, absolutely, that this ought to be a major issue. embarass the f*&^%$s at every opportunity. but i doubt it will change the outcome. even if he recuses himself, everybody knows what their marching orders are.

4. Well it is one less vote - that is something
It is not like they can drum up a pinch hitter for him - sure he could still give Thomas talking points but he can't vote. That has to be worth something. Also, recusal is a fairly serious business. If he intervenes in the case in any way and the word gets out it could be grounds for impeachment. Not that this congress would do that.
