Northerner Presidents vs. Southerner Presidents

Past results, of course, don't guarantee or un-guarantee future results, as we know. Thus, just because we havern't had a Northern Democratic president in four decades, doesn't mean it can't happen again. DUH.

So here are, in reverse chronological order:

Our last five Presidents from the North:

Gerald Ford (MI) - our last decent Republican President
John F. Kennedy (MA) - Do I need to tell you about him?
Franklin D. Roosevelt - See JFK above.
Herbert Hoover (IA) - Okay, well, he was like the Hoover Vacuum: they sucked.
Calvin Coolidge (MA) - "Silent Cal."

Our last five Presidents from the South:

Duh-bya :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Clinton - Okay, he's an exception
Poppy :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Reagan :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Carter - well, actually pretty good.

2. Reagan and the Bushes
Reagan was born in Illinois and his political career stems from being Governor of California, no?

Both the Bushes were born in Connecticut. GHW Bush's career was mostly from inside Washington (CIA director, GOP chairman) and I don't think he was seen as Southern (though I'm not old enough to remember). GW Bush is a de facto Southerner though, what with being a failed businessman and failed governor from Texas.

5. Your corrected list looks like this:
We can take out Reagan and Bush I because they were not Southerners.

Duh-bya :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Clinton - Okay, he's an exception
Carter - well, actually pretty good.

Now, do we count Texas as being southern? I, for one, do not. Besides that, W was born in CT. So here's the rest of your list:

Clinton - Okay, he's an exception
Carter - well, actually pretty good.
