this is how five consecutive audience members responded to wighathead Frank Luntz's question, asking them to characterize Bush in one word!

speechless was because the lady couldn't find a word to describe her disgust, clearly

Luntz immediately asked them why they HATED him?

really. Bush is a liar. People don't like liars. Hatred has nothing to do with it.

We have to start making this clear every time someone brings it up. This is not some sort of irrational personal hatred. Bush is despised because of what he has done to our country,

You name it -- stealing an election, undermining the Constitution, rape of the environment, looting the treasury, and killing tens of thousands of civilians in a country that was no threat to us, and SO ON.

We don't irrationally hate him, we hate him for what he does.

Why should we care enough about Bush to hate him? Even though I do hate what he stands for. That's different. He goes against all human ideals.

To hate is a visceral, emotional reaction. To despise is to express a rational, moral judgment. I don't hate him. He might be a fun guy to hang out with. Everyone says so, and who knows? They may be right.

I do despise him, though.

For squandering an education that was handed to him for no merit other than his family name, that thousands of more deserving people couldn't afford. Forcheating out of Viet Nam while not opposing the war, and not even fulfilling the conditions of the soft service his family connections bought for him. For failing miserably as a businessman and pretending he represents the flower of the capitalist system. For being a spiteful and small-minded little man with pretensions of godhood. For scores of equally reprehensible acts and attributes.

You can't legitimately hate a person if you haven't met him. But you can despise him.

Can't stand nose-pickers.
