Watching the News last night re/the primaries
Watched Peter Jennings and Chris Matthews. Was struck by the dialogue - Tom Brokow and Russert were talking about how basically the Democrats are pissed about the war, the economy, etc. I do not remember anyone else of late openly stating the fact that there are a LOT of people, Democrats and Independents who HATE Bush and want to see a change. Even Rupublicans voted against him. The people they interviewed actually said in no uncertain terms - we want Bush and this "cabal" out of the White House. The focus group on Chris Matthews seem to all be saying the same thing - anything to get Bush out.

Now given that - how will the news media continue to keep calling Bush* popular........ looks like to me the opposite is the case. Was surprised no one was talking about it here this morning.

I can't wait to see how the other states go - if 75% of these other states are against the war and against Bush* - how can they even contemplate trying to steal the election when it is obvious he is so hated?

1. The media is out of touch
This isn't unprecedented, though I think this is as bad as I've seen it. I hope they, and the Bush cabal, will be in for a rude awakening come November.

2. Yeah, but I noticed they kept saying "democrats" are mad,
"democrats want * out". They made sure that they prefaced the argument to remind people that it isn't the country, it is the "democrats". That is how I took it anyway.

The media will be hard pressed I think to continue the free pass. We are now officially on the national level with the primary race. I can't wait to see what happens.

3. I don't have cable anymore (since the disgraceful coverage of
the 2000 election); but I saw Brokow and Russert last night and my thoughts were similar to yours. Bush*'s re-elect figures have always been bad. And now people are speaking out.

I don't know how the media are going to continue to spin it for Dubya; but they will try. I'm hoping enough people have awakened to make stealing the election difficult for them.

On the other hand, I fear the Cabal would not hesitate to create an incident and suspend the elections in order to stay in power.

I hope I'm wrong; but I think we are in more danger than most are willing to contemplate.

4. I couldn't agree more
I am definitely expecting another "incident" - and for some reason I'm thinking in June...... we need to forget "impeachment" and just go for arresting Bush* and the rest of them now - as if the Iraq war were not enough, many many people have woken up to the 9/11 cover up as well.

that most people found his 'monster' apalling. so why shouldn't the frankenmedia be surprised that american look upon THEIR creation as a MONSTER?

6. It should be a landslide against Bush
but they pretend as though no one can beat him. I'm hoping that we hear a big WHOOOSH in the '04 election.
