on C-Span (repeat 10:13 ET) George Schatz on Bush*'s Budget:
SILVER LINING: BECAUSE THE BUDGET DEFICIT IS SO LARGE, IT IS EASIER TO SAY THAT IT WILL BE CUT BY HALF IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS.
That silver lining does not sound silver to me. To me it means that because the deficit is so huge, the deficit will still be huge even after is cut by half.

1. by that logic
If another terrorist attack hits the US and kills "only" 1,500, it will be a big success for Bush, since it was only half the deaths!
