tonight at the union hall
We had a speaker, an Ex Marine and head of the local VFW. He was there drumming up support of his drive to keep our VA hospital open. When he mentioned the bush administration, and their lackeys, the contempt just dripped from his lips. He really worked us up. It was beautiful I brought up the attack against overtime pay for some veterans, and he turned to me and said "just let them try." There was real rage in his voice. It was a great night.

2. Wonderful
I love these anecdotes. There is a huge undercurrent of resentment in this country against Bush. That includes the military and veterans too.

3. Saturday I am going to a teamsters rally
in support of the Democratic candidate.

I might take some photos there. If I do, I will post them.

We have a special election the 17th of this month for the 6th district congressional seat. The Dem is Ben Chandler. His opponent is Alice Forgey Kerr. Ben is a good man, a union supporter and a true friend of NALC Branch 361. Kerr is a Mitch McConnell hand puppet. She has tried to tie herself to bush, but bush has refused to come here to support her.

The Teamsters and the VFW will be there.
